Great Horned Owl - "Templeton"

Came to us again from Kansas Wildlife and Parks as a juvenile, 3 years ago, unable to fly yet. We put him with 2 other Great Horned babies his age and it didn't want anything to do with them. They were mean as could be and we had hoped he would get like them, but would cry out for us whenever he saw us. We then got permission to use him for programs being he is an imprint. He loves to swallow mice during our education programs! Great Horns are very aggressive in the wild and have been known to chase Hawks and even Eagles away from potential nest sites. They are the largest and most common Owl in Kansas.
