2010 is here! Where has the last 10 years gone? We at Eagle Valley Raptor Center have now been here 5 years. 2009 was a great year for us. We completed 4 Eagle Scout Projects. Built our new Sidewalk, completed a new seating area, did programs or tours for 12 new schools and we were able to get a new Eurasian Eagle Owl to replace "Tara" who we lost to liver disease two years ago. The weather gods were pretty good to us as our trees and grass really took off this past year. We had our first Native American Story Telling in October down by our campsite. Donations were really good considering the state of the economy. We found a new vet to add to the ones we are very blessed to have. Dr. Kara James in Wichita. Along with Dr. Davey Harkins in Eldorado, Dr. Josh Alberg and Skip Koster in Goddard and Christian Skaer in Wichita, we have a very good base to work with. We like to take this opportunity to thank each and everyone of you for the support you have given our center, and allow us to help the many injured and orphaned birds of prey we take in. Have a great New Years Celebration and an even better New Year!
