Bald Eagle Release! Eagle Valley Raptor Center will be releasing one of its injured Bald Eagles on February 7th on the Arkansas River near downtown Wichita. The Eagle a young male that was dubbed the name "Trapper John" by EVRC President and Volunteer Rachel Bournival after being found caught in a steel foothold trap has been recovering well at the center. Prior to the release, Eagle Valley will be showing an exciting and informative video about a family of Bald Eagles at the Wichita Water Center, located in Herman Hill Park near Pawnee and Broadway. The showing of the video will be at 11:00 AM and again at 12:30 PM. The Eagle will then be released at 2:00 PM following the second showing. Seating is limited for the video so reserve you seat(s) by calling the water center at (316) 337-9262. Come and see our National Symbol and one of natures most stunning creatures return back to the wild!
