Eagle Valley Raptor Center specializes in native Kansas Birds of Prey. These include Eagles, Hawks, Owls, Kites, Falcons and Vultures.
It is our great pleasure to help these animals become independent again and return back to their natural way of life.

More Connected Than Ever
We are now officially affiliated with Exploration Place and will be appearing twice a month with a "Bird of the Month". This month we will be taking "Harley" our Red-tailed Hawk. We also will be doing a Roots and Shoots Program for raptors. Roots & Shoots was originally started by Jane Goddall who is world famous for her study on Chimpanzees. Check Exploration Place's web site for times and dates.   www.exploration.org

EVRC growth spurt        After the sidewalk was put in, we moved on
to the seating area project!

We would like to announce our recent changes, highlighted by the completion of our Pergola Roof.  The Pergola Roof was completed by Laurence Barrett, a senior from Goddard High School.  He did it as his Eagle Scout Project.  Ben Jensen, a senior from Maize High School, completed the benches for his Eagle Scout Project.  Westar Energy's Green Team and the Cargill Corporation's "Cargill Cares" group helped with the funding and providing reclaimed building materials.  (read more in the news section)

Eagle Valley was recognized again!
Ken won the "Conservationist of the Year" award from the "Daughters of the American Revolution".  We were nominated by the Newton, Kansas Chapter and were chosen by the National Chapter in Washington D.C.  We will be recognized at the National Convention this year and be in their upcoming magazine!
