Abbie's Bio

Board Member:  Abbie Wisdom-Williams

Abbie lives with her husband David, 8 cats and 5 dogs at Cheney Lake about 30 miles west of Wichita.  She has 2 step-daughters in Hutchinson and one son currently serving in Afghanistan.

Until recently, Abbie was a Senior Closer and Loan Officer in the mortgage industry.  Today, she contracts with the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks at Cheney Lake State Park.

Abbie has been a licensed wildlife rehabilitator for the last 10 years and focuses mostly on mammals such as skunks (her personal favorite), raccoons, fox, squirrel, opossum, mink, whatever needs her help.  She is also a director for the Triple “R” Wildlife Rescue, Inc. in Salina, KS.  With the help of her staff of sub-permitees, they rescue, raise and release over 100 animals a year.

She looks forward to a continuing opportunity to work with wildlife and with members of the community that share an interest in our efforts in area conservation.
